BRAZIL
We were never supposed to visit Brazil.
W’d always assumed that South America's behemoth was just too big to try and include within our slow travel two-year trip through Latin America.
And yet, we simply couldn’t resist venturing across its borders, not once but twice.
Whether looking for wild untouched beaches, incredible surf, an Amazon experience, huge modern cities or charming colonial towns dancing to a samba rhythm, Brazil offers more than you can ever hope to cover in a few weeks or months.
So don’t be too ambitious and don’t underestimate your distances from Manaus in the north to Porto Alegre in the south, from the iconic shores of Rio de Janeiro in the east to the untamed frontier of the Pantanal in the west.
Brazil isn’t just big—it’s a continent within a country, where landscapes, cultures, and climates shift dramatically as you move.
