PERU
Home to one of the seven wonders of the world, a rich culture, great food, and a joyous number of llamas, Peru has long been a destination that draws in all sorts of travellers.
Whilst most people will focus a two-week getaway on the Sacred Valley, there is much more to this South American wonderland if you’re going slow and have time.
Whether you want to spend your days hiking through canyons, to glacier lakes or along lesser-visited Incan ruins, better understanding the indigenous culture, enjoying vast cosmopolitan cities or simply relaxing beside the ocean, this is a country where it’s impossible to be bored.
We do however have a word of warning for those more used to getting off the beaten track: you will be sharing your experiences with literally thousands of others at times.
Whilst that can be a jarring, view it as a reason to go beyond the obvious and spend a little longer here to uncover the magic on your own terms.
